We like to think that festival markets are a part of what makes a festival, not just the place you go to buy stuff. Because of this we take real pride in the way Groovy Smoothies looks, and the mood we create in and around the stall. We decorate our marquee with either jungle foliage or mirror balls depending on whether we're feeling eco or disco. Our marquee is laid out so that our customers can see every stage of preparation, from chopping to blending to cup. We have no secrets!
We also strive to trade in the most responsible way we can, which to us means providing a high quality product we can be proud of, and keeping our environmental impact to a minimum. We only use biodegradable paper cups, biodegradable PLA straws, and our stationery and hand towels are made from recycled paper. Where recycling facilities are not provided on site we take our recyclable rubbish home with us.
Stall size: Our marquee is 4.5m wide (frontage) x 6m deep. We also require space behind for our refrigerated trailer and our stock van.
Electrics: Our blenders, juicers, fridges and freezer require a 32 amp supply to plug into.
Alternatively, we can provide a generator. All electrical equipment is PAT tested (copies of certificates can be supplied on request).
Gas: We use an LPG combi boiler to provide hot water which is Gas Safe certified.
Insurance: Groovy Smoothies is a member of the National Market Traders Federation which provides us with public & products liability and employer's liability insurance.
Health & Safety: We are registered with South Northamptonshire council environmental health department.
All staff have food hygiene training.
